The Latvian grandmaster decides to explain the background to the rapid end of his "miniature" against Peter Leko, Saratov 2011 - drawn after only 21 moves - as well as to go into the variation played in some detail. After 7.Qg4 he replied, as thousands before him have done, 7...Qc7 and allowed Leko the opportunity to play the unusual 8.Bd3. Shirov explains, for example, why 7...cxd4 is more exact.
