Alexey Dreev

who was born in 1969, has been one of the strongest Russian chess players for many years. He reached the quarter-finals of the candidates tournament in 1991, only to be defeated by Viswanathan Anand. Dreev has played for Russia in five chess Oympiads. 2007 saw the publication of his book "My One Hundred Best Games". Dreev is one of the greatest experts in the Semi Slav in the whole world.
