Triumphieren mit Trompowsky - Ein komplettes Weißrepertoire nach 1.d4 Sf6 2.Lg5

Nach 1.d4 Sf6 erscheint der Zug 2.Lg5 ebenso kühn wie exotisch. Nach näherer Betrachtung war ich fasziniert: Kein anderes modernes Eröffnungssystem führt so schnell zu spannenden Positionen, verlässt so bald theoretische Pfade und setzt den Schwarzen dennoch unter massiven Druck.

Vom Brasilianer Octavio Trompowsky in den 30-er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts eingeführt, wurde „Trompy“ erst in den 90-er Jahren vom genialen englischen Großmeister Julian Hodgson aus seinem Dornröschenschlaf geweckt und zur gefährlichen Waffe geschmiedet, die auch kein Geringerer als Garry Kasparow in sein Repertoire aufnahm. Heute wird der Trompowsky-Angriff von Supergroßmeistern wie Shakryar Mamedyarow oder Hikaru Nakamura bis hin zu Weltmeister Magnus Carlsen erfolgreich angewendet, den Ritterschlag erhielt „Trompy“ durch seinen Einsatz bei der ersten WM-Partie im Match Carlsen-Karjakin. Trompowsky Attack

The move 2.Bg5 was named after the Brazilian player Octavio Trompowsky (1897–1984), who employed it in the 1930s and the 1940s. The move led only a shadowy existence right up to the 1980s, but then some free-thinking English grandmasters, above all Julian Hodgson, took it up and demonstrated the vitality of this system, which has since that point become firmly established.
