Tibor Karolyi

born in 1961, is an International Master, whose greatest success in chess has been winning the Hungarian Championship in 1984. Even more significant are his merits as trainer and an author. He has worked with, e.g., Peter Leko, Zsuzsa and Sofia Polgar. His first book, "The Princess of Chess Judit Polgar" appeared in 2004. In 2007 he won for his "Endgame Virtuoso Anatoly Karpov" the prize for the chess book of the year awarded by the renowned British newspaper "The Guardian".
