Halb-Slawisch, das Tschebanenko-System und die Dreiecksaufstellung sind solide und flexible Waffen für Schwarz. Das auf dieser DVD untersuchte Repertoire begegnet ihnen allen auf provokante Art und Weise.

Um nicht in einen etwas zu passiven Aufbau zu geraten, muss Schwarz aus seiner Komfortzone herauskommen und das Bauernopfer auf c4 akzeptieren. Die Kompensation von Weiß besteht typischerweise aus einem Entwicklungsvorsprung und einem Raumvorteil im Zentrum. Das Spiel erhält häufig einen neoromantischen Charakter. Es gibt Varianten, in denen es schwer ist, einen objektiven Vorteil für Weiß nachzuweisen, aber auch der Weg von Schwarz zu einer sicheren Stellung ist nicht einfach. In der Praxis hat Weiß exzellente Chancen, die Initiative lange Zeit zu behalten. Ein kompaktes und vielversprechendes Repertoire für aktive Spieler.

Slav Defence

In the Slav Defence Black supports his d-pawn with 2...c6. Compared to the move 2...e6 this has the advantage of not blocking in Black’s Bc8, and it makes it possible, in the event of 3.cxd5, to recapture on d5 with a pawn and thus to maintain a central pawn on d5. The Slav Defence enjoys the reputation of being one of the safest and most solid replies to the Queen’s Gambit. It is very popular in both top tournaments and also amateur tournaments.
