The Vienna Variation - a reliable and ambitious weapon against 1.d4

La Viennoise est un système particulier et indépendant du Gambit-♕, qui arrive après.1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.♘f3 ♞f6 4.♘c3 dxc4, Cette prise des Noirs au 4e coup rappelle fortement le Gambit-♕ Accepté. Mais la Viennoise s'inspire également des structures nimzo-indiennes tout en gardant son propre caractère. Les principales lignes mènent généralement à des structures de pions asymétriques, où les Noirs peuvent espérer obtenir un jeu de combat.

La Viennoise requiert des connaissances théoriques précises. Pas étonnant qu'elle soit régulièrement employée par des joueurs de haut niveau tels que Vladimir Kramnik et Levon Aronian. Le GM Yannick Pelletier vous propose un répertoire complet, tout en couvrant les nombreuses déviations possibles des Blancs. Il analyse également des parties thématiques qui illustrent les idées les plus importantes du milieu de jeu. Il s'agit d'un DVD interactif. Dans la section test, le GM helvétique fait une pause et vous demande de trouver et de jouer le meilleur coup. Il vous donne ensuite son avis sur le coup que vous avez choisi. La base de données avec des parties modèles vous aidera également à mieux comprendre et jouer cette ouverture. L'auteur a soigneusement sélectionné toutes les parties de la base de données et en a annoté un grand nombre.
