La Défense Berlinoise (1.e4 e5 2.Cf3 Cc6 3.Fb5 Cf6 4.O-O Cxe4) est pour beaucoup de joueur de 1.e4 une gêne, si ce n'est une abomination! La position des Noirs est excessivement solide et stable, raison pour laquelle on lui a attribué le surnom de "Mur de Berlin".
