Evans Gambit for the new generation

Romantique, excitant et trépidant: depuis toujours ces qualificatifs ont été accolés au Gambit Evans (1.e4 e5 2.Cf3 Cc6 3.Fc4 Dc5 4.b4!?). Cette idée a été adoptée à l'origine par le Capitaine Gallois William Davies Evans, à Londres, dans son match contre Mc Donnell en 1827. L'objectif de ce Gambit est de mettre son adversaire le dos au mur dès le début de la partie. Le GM Simon Williams signale dans l'introduction du DVD qu'il est exactement l'expert qu'il vous faut pour vous présenter et vous initier aux fondamentaux du Gambit Evans.

Bien qu'âgé maintenant de presque 200 ans, le Gambit Evans est parvenu à surmonter toutes les critiques de la théorie jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Simon Williams vous présente des partie de Nigel Short, Garry Kasparov, Hikaru Nakamura, Baadur Jobava et d'autres GM encore, prouvant ainsi que ce Gambit est encore toujours bien vivant et tout à fait jouable.
