The 112 selected games with comments offer outstanding material for study. Daniel King (30 annotated games), Karsten Müller (16) and Martin Breutigam (14) provide the lion’s share of the analyses. In all there are 1900 games in which the average rating of the players is at least 2350 (apart from annotated games and the games of some specialists).

The database loads the overview of the games. A double click loads a game. The tab Players allows the games to be sorted by frequency. That allows closer investigation of players such as Heikki Westerinen, Joseph Gallagher and Alexei Fedorov (all experts with the white pieces). Or Boris Spassky and David Bronstein. The two Russian legends played the King’s Gambit from time to time. The 10th world champion even has a special score: he only lost one game with the risky King’s Gambit and that was a simultaneous game.
The games can be played through or further investigated with an engine or a powerbook.
