Jana Schneider

Jana Schneider, born in Karlstadt in 2002,
is a German FIDE Master, Woman Grandmaster, national team player and author.
She learned chess at the age of four and went on to win several German girls’ championships.
In 2015, she became European Under-14 Girls’ Champion, followed by victory at the German Women’s Championship in 2017.
That same year, Schneider earned the Woman International Master title, before becoming a Woman Grandmaster in 2021.
She reached her peak rating of 2353 in July 2021 and made her Women’s World Cup debut that year.
Schneider achieved her greatest international success to date at the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai:
playing as reserve for the German women’s national team,
she scored nine points from ten games and won the individual gold medal on her board with a tournament performance rating of 2414.
Alongside her chess career, she studies psychology and produces training courses for ChessBase.
