The Queen’s Pawn games are a series of openings in which, after 1.d4 d5, White does without the advance c2-c4 in the early stages of the game or even completely. This may mean less pressure being put on Black’s position, but in return White is mostly able to deploy his forces without disruption. One very popular system, above all among amateurs, is, e. g., the rapid development of the Nf3 and Bf4, the London System. White’s setup is apparently simple: e3, Bd3, Nbd2 and c3 are meant to follow. If necessary, h3 will create a retreat square on h2 for the Bf4, so as to be able to avoid a threatened exchange after ...Nh5. An additional attraction of White’s setup is that it can be employed not only after 1.d4 d5, but against almost all black setups after 1.d4.=> More products: London System
