The threshold for inclusion in the database is high - over 2580 Elo points on average. The 754 selected annotated games provide excellent study material. Top players such as Caruana (3 annotated games), Adams (1), Anand (5), Aronian (1), Duda (1), Eljanov (1), Erigaisi (2), Firouzja (2), Giri (2), Jakovenko (1), Karjakin (2), Kasimdzhanov (2), Vidit (1) and Vitiugov (2) have analysed their games, plus commentaries by Paulsen experts such as Ribli (343), Kritz (61), Edouard (25) and other top-class authors. There are several world-class Paulsen specialists, all of whom have played the opening with both colours. Fabiano Caruana has played 203 games, 118 of them with Black, Peter Svidler has played 272 games, 171 of them with Black. Gata Kamsky (323 games with the black pieces) and Dmitry Andreikin (316 games with Black) have far greater numbers. In total there are 8020 games, with a rating average of at least 2580 (excluding games with commentaries and the Paulsen/Taimanov experts Caruana, Svidler, Kamsky and Andreikin).
A double click on the database loads the games overview. A further double click loads the relevant game. The tab Players lets you sort the games according to frequency (with the tab Total). This helps to take a closer look at games from players such as Caruana or Svidler.
The games can be played through or further investigated with an engine or a Powerbook.
