The Accelerated Dragon - a sharp weapon against 1.e4

Après 1.e4 c5 2.♘f3 ♞c6 3.d4 cxd4 4.♘xd4 g6!, nous entrons dans la Dragon Accélérée. Dans cette variante de la Défense Sicilienne, l'idée thématique est de réaliser la poussée ♟d7-d5 en un coup. La GM russe Nadezhda Kosintseva révèle dans ce DVD les secrets de son ouverture favorite.

Les Blancs ont essentiellement le choix entre deux variantes au 5e coup: soit 5.c4, soit la variante ouverte avec 5.♘c3. Kosintseva a un certain nombre de fortes recommandations en réserve contre l'étau de Maroczy, et elle propose pas moins de deux systèmes prometteurs contre 5.♘c3. La première, avec un ♟d7-d5 rapide, fait partie intégrante du répertoire du GM israélien Boris Gelfand, qui a utilisé cette ligne avec succès à plusieurs reprises en 2017, l'a rendant d'autant plus populaire. Mais l'auteure considère également une approche plus stratégique avec ...d6 et ... ♛a5, qui donne au jeu un tout autre caractère.

Kosintseva explique les grandes lignes théoriques, ainsi que les variantes secondaires du Dragon accéléré. Elle s'arrête sur les nombreuses finesses stratégiques de cette ouverture avec ses plans et ses ruptures typiques (♟d7-d5 et ♟b7-b5), et relève bien sûr les stratagèmes tactiques astucieux, tel le sacrifice classique de qualité ...♜xc3 suivi de ...♞xe4.
