Master Class Band 10: Mikhail Botvinnik

Lernen von einem Weltmeister!

Mikhail Botvinnik wurde 1948 Weltmeister und blieb es bis 1963. In dieser Zeit verteidigte er seinen Titel erfolgreich gegen David Bronstein, Vassily Smyslov und Mihail Tal oder holte ihn sich in Revanche-Wettkämpfen zurück. Mit Botvinnik beginnt die systematische wissenschaftliche Arbeitsweise im Schach. Eröffnungen studierte er im Hinblick auf ihre typischen Mittelspielstrukturen und entwickelte dafür erfolgreiche Strategien. Der strategische Ansatz zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch das Werk von Botvinnik. Der in der Sowjetunion „Patriarch“ genannte 6. Schachweltmeister gründete nach dem Ende seiner aktiven Karriere eine Schachschule und gab sein Wissen an viele gelehrige Schüler weiter. Zu seinen Schülern gehörten unter anderem Garry Kasparov und Vladimir Kramnik.

Auf dieser DVD zeigen Großmeister und Experten wie Yannick Pelletier, Mihail Marin, Oliver Reeh und Karsten Müller anhand der Partien von Mihail Botvinnik, wie man im Schach bestimmte Eröffnungen erfolgreich bestreitet, welche Musterstrategien es in bestimmten Strukturen gibt, wie man auch taktische Lösungen findet und wie man Endspiele nach festen Regeln zum Gewinn bringt. Wer seine Partien auf positionellem Gebiet und möglichst ohne taktisches Risiko zum Gewinn führen möchte, findet in den Partien von Mikhail Botvinnik wertvolle Rezepte. Viele seiner Partien gehörten zu Zeiten der „sowjetischen Schachschule“ zur Grundausbildung junger Schachspieler in Strategie und Endspielführung und sind auch heute noch als Wegweiser für eine erfolgreiche Partieführung von unschätzbarem Wert.
