Romain Édouard
Romain Édouard, born in Poitiers in 1990,
is a French chess grandmaster with a peak rating of 2702.
After winning the European Under-16 Championship in 2006,
he earned the grandmaster title in 2009 and shared the French Championship title with three other players in 2012.
His greatest tournament successes include victories at the 2012 Al Ain Classic and the 2014 Dubai Open,
as well as a share of first place at the 2015 World Open.
Representing France, Édouard won team silver at the 2013 European Team Chess Championship
and an individual gold medal on board three.
He also contributes regularly to ChessBase Magazine and produces training courses for ChessBase.
