The Slav Powerbook 2016

Based on around 685 000 games, of which some 5% were played by human beings, the related domains of the Slav and the Semi-Slav are brought together in this Powerbook. Interesting statistical conclusions can be drawn, because where human theory can only come up with a dozen games Powerbooks frequently show numbers in the thousands.

The Powerbook Slav/Semi-Slav offers excellent opportunities to study the sharp variation 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 e6 5.Bg5 h6 6.Bh4 (170 000 games). The position above arises after 6...dxc4 7.e4 g5 8.Bg3 b5 9.Be2 Bb7 and then the new trend 10.Qc2!? as well as the supposedly best reply 10...Nh5. Where Mega + correspondence chess together can only come up with two games, in Powerbook with its more than 1000 games it is possible to derive some valid statistical evaluations and enjoy a leap forward in one’s knowledge.

The Slav Powerbook 2016 is an opening book that you can use with your Fritz or ChessBase program. It does not come with a database - so there are no games included.
