El gambito de Dama Rehusado (conocido por las siglas de su nombre en inglés como “QGD”) se ha considerado, no sin motivos, la apertura más importante en los duelos por el campeonato del mundo y los torneos de elite durante más de un siglo. En este DVD, Sam Collins presenta un repertorio para las negras basado en la rocosa variante Lasker, revigorizada con nuevas ideas por el otrora campeón mundial Vishy Anand y que es piedra angular de los repertorios de muchos fuertes grandes maestros de hoy en día. Excepto la Catalana, se abarcan todas las variantes importantes tras 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6, incluyendo las desviaciones de las blancas con Axf6 y Af4, y la crítica variante del Cambio. Los intentos recientes de las blancas de lanzar una tormenta de peones por el flanco de rey con g4 y h4 también se tratan con detalle. 2...e6 is the natural way for Black to defend the d5-pawn and it prepares to develop the Bf8, whilst for the moment the light-squared bishop is at first shut in. This system is considered one of the most solid against 1.d4 and has been used in numerous WCh matches.
