Frederic's Chess Tales

In 1986 Frederic Friedel, together with Matthias Wüllenweber, founded ChessBase. Since 1997 he has been publishing chess news on the ChessBase News page. Frederic has experienced chess history first-hand for more than 30 years, met countless personalities in chess the chess world, and described them masterfully. He has now revised and compiled the most interesting stories and reports in "Frederic's Chess Tales", like "The beautiful Behting" or "Chess puzzles - easy and fun" or "The Great King Walk". Older readers may recognize where some of the stories originated, which articles inspired them. In most cases, the predecessor stories were published before many of our readers were even born. Others may look at them nostalgically as part of a collection. Frederic's Chess Tales appears on the new web-based platform ChessBase Tutorials
