Maîtriser la Najdorf

La Variante Najdorf de la Sicilienne est l’une des ouvertures les plus populaires depuis de nombreuses décennies. Appréciée à tous les niveaux, elle a accompagné les deux champions du monde légendaires Bobby Fischer et Garry Kasparov tout au long de leur carrière.

Ce système a pour avantage principal d’être sain tout en permetant aux noirs de jouer agressivement pour le gain. L’étude et la pratique de la Najdorf enseignent plusieurs qualités essentiellles pour progresser aux échecs, notamment la lutte pour l’initiative, la défense, ou le jeu sur une couleur de cases. Il va sans dire qu’une bonne compréhension des idées positionnelles et des plans stratégiques est nécessaire pour maîtriser cette ouverture. Le GM Yannick Pelletier vous les explique méthodiquement à l’aide de parties modèles. L’auteur vous livre ici un répertoire complet et cohérent de la Variante Najdorf. Ainsi, vous serez prêts à faire face aux lignes principales et aux petites lignes secondaires, si populaires aujourd’hui au plus haut niveau. Ce DVD contient une base de plus de 250 parties méticuleusement choisies. La plupart étant analysées, vous y trouverez de nombreuses recommandations vous permettant de parfaire vos connaissances théoriques. Ce DVD est interactif. À la fin l’auteur vous met à contribution et vous pose des questions. À vous de réfléchir et de proposer votre solution sur l’écran. Le GM Pelletier commente ensuite vos suggestions dans des clips vidéos séparés.

Najdorf

It is astonishing that today’s most important system in the Sicilian starts with the unlikely move 5...a6. The move by the rook’s pawn does nothing for the development of the pieces, so why then does Black play it? Well, it is almost also useful to prevent White’s minor pieces from getting on the b5-square, and in addition it prepares a counter-attack on the queenside with …b7-b5. In certain circumstances there is the threat of ...b4 driving away the Nc3, which puts the e4-pawn under pressure e4. Seen like this, 5...a6 is a preparation for the attack on the white centre! The great rise of the Najdorf Variation – named after the Polish-Argentinian grandmaster Miguel Najdorf (1910–1997) – began in the 1950s. World champions Petrosian, Tal and Fischer played this opening, and Kasparov too was feared because of his precise treatment of the sharp Najdorf lines.
