Die Wiener Variante

Eine verlässliche und ambitionierte Waffe gegen 1.d4!

Die Wiener Variante ist eine spezielle Variante des Damengambits, die nach den Zügen 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Sf3 Sf6 4.Sc3 dxc4 erreicht wird. Durch das Schlagen auf c4 im 4.Zug erinnert die Eröffnung zum einen stark an das Angenommene Damengambit. Zum anderen zeigt sich die Wiener Variante auch von Nimzo-Indisch Strukturen inspiriert, ohne dabei ihren eigenen Charakter zu verlieren. In den Hauptvarianten entstehen in der Regel asymmetrische Bauernstrukturen, daher darf Schwarz hier auf lebendige und kämpferische Partien hoffen.

Die Wiener Variante erfordert generell eine genaue Kenntnis der Theorie. Kein Wunder also, dass sie zu den Lieblingswaffen von Spitzenspielern wie Vladimir Kramnik und Levon Aronian zählt.
