The Sniper

El Francotirador, creado oficialmente en 2010, se ha probado con éxito contra grandes maestros del más alto nivel y programas de ordenador y todavía se las arregla para asegurar situaciones de apertura nuevas y creativas llenas de desequilibrio y, por tanto, con perspectivas ganadoras para las negras. El autor del DVD Charlie Storey ha usado esta apertura, junto con profundos análisis de ordenador para lograr la victoria en 145 abiertos en el Reino Unido y ha visto como sus alumnos la empleaban con éxito en los campeonatos de Europa juveniles.

El Francotirador es un esquema de apertura universal que puede jugarse contra todas las principales primeras jugadas de las blancas: 1.e4, 1.d4, 1.c4, 1.f4 y 1.Cf3. Se define mediante: 1 (cualquier jugada blanca) …g6 – 2 (cualquier jugada blanca) …Ag7 – 3 (cualquier jugada blanca) …c5 En otras palabras, las negras juegan 1…g6, 2…Ag7 y 3…c5 prácticamente contra todo. Y cuando las blancas intentan evitarlo deliberadamente, se ofrecen buenas sugerencias contra esas variantes antifrancotirador, para tumbarlas. El mayor beneficio para cualquier practicante del sistema Francotirador es que logra familiarizarse con la estructura de peones en los mediojuegos resultantes, lo que ayuda a evitar errores y ahorra tiempo en la práctica.
