Attacking with the Italian Game and the Ruy Lopez

El propósito de este DVD es enseñar a los jugadores a conducir el ataque sobre el rey negro usando distintos métodos. Aunque la Italiana y la Ruy López son principalmente aperturas posicionales, a menudo es posible emplear métodos de juego de ataque. Este DVD se basa en su mayor parte en la experiencia personal y en las partidas del autor, lo que lo convierte en un producto de ajedrez único. Los métodos descritos en el DVD son el resultado de la experiencia vital del autor, que ha jugado la Ruy López y la Italiana desde su niñez y ha conseguido con ellas muchas victorias, algunas incluso contra los jugadores más fuertes del mundo. El DVD se divide en 4 capítulos según los métodos de ataque que han dado y siguen dando al autor los mejores resultados. También se han incorporado y explicado partidas de otros jugadores (como A. Karpov, por ejemplo) Para completar la enseñanza, se incluye una base de datos que contiene todas las partidas del autor jugadas con la Italiana o la Ruy López desde 1986. Una enorme cantidad de esas partidas nunca antes ha sido publicada. También en el DVD se incluye una amplia base de datos con más de un millón de partidas sobre la Italiana y la Ruy López, recopiladas de diversas fuentes. También se han añadido otras bases solo de partidas comentadas. The Spanish Opening is one of the absolutely oldest. It is named after the Spanish priest Ruy López de Segura, who in 1561 presented his analyses on this way of starting the game in a book. But even today the Spanish can be seen in many games of top players and it is quite clearly the most important of the Open Games. Not only does White develop his bishop, he also immediately puts pressure on the black e5-pawn. Whereas previously 3...a6 was almost obligatory, nowadays 3...Nf6 – the Berlin Defence – is favoured.
