Cuatro caballos

En comparación con el consejo que a menudo se da los principiantes de desarrollar primero los caballos que los alfiles, la apertura de los cuatro caballos parece la ideal. Era también muy popular al comienzo del siglo XX pero entonces perdió muchos de sus adeptos a la vista del gambito Rubinstein 4.Ab5 Cd4. El interés por ella no volvió a despertarse hasta la década de 1990, cuando los grandes maestros ingleses John Nunn y Nigel Short la adoptaron.
