The Shining Sveshnikov Sicilian

Always wanted to play like a World Champion? Search no further! With Magnus Carlsen using the Sveshnikov variation as his weapon of choice in the World Championship match against Fabiano Caruana, this DVD could not be better timed. The Dutch grandmaster Erwin L‘Ami (former second of Veselin Topalov and currently seconding Anish Giri), guides you through this dynamic opening variation. The DVD offers a complete overview of this fascinating opening that has inspired generations of chess players!

The basic Sveshnikov position is reached after the moves 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5. Erwin L’Ami will take you through all important lines, the two main Lines after 9.Nd5 and 9.Bxf6 but also on the trendy and probably new main Line 7.Nd5. In the interactive section of the DVD you’ll find typical tactics, instructional games in a move-by-move format and “memory markers” which help you remember the theory. • Video running time: 8 hours (English)
• With interactive training including video feedback
• Training chapter with repertoire and play features
• Including CB 15 Reader
