Svitlana Demchenko
Svitlana Demchenko, born in Mykolaiv in 2003,
is a Ukrainian-Canadian chess player who has held the title of Woman International Master (WIM) since 2019.
Following numerous successes at youth level, she won the Canadian Women’s Championship in 2023.
Demchenko has represented Canada at three Chess Olympiads since 2018 and competed in the 2021 Women’s Chess World Cup.
She also hosts the ChessBase show “Svitlana’s Smart Moves” and produces training courses for ChessBase.
