Jorden van Foreest surprised Yuriy Kryvoruchko in the 2023 European Club Championship in the Catalan with a novelty on move seven! Usually White continues after 6.dxc4 with 7.Qc2 in order to recapture the pawn as quickly as possible. Instead, Van Foreest brought 7.h4 to the board.
