Si quiere una batalla emocionante, debería jugar 5.Ag5 contra la Semieslava. Esta jugada de desarrollo natural es la más aguda y la de más principios contra la sólida configuración de las negras. El material se distribuye del siguiente modo:
1) 5…h6

1a) Gambito Antimoscú con 6.Ah4 que conduce a un juego de doble filo porque las negras intentarán mantener su peón de ventaja tras 6…dxc4 7.e4 g5 8.Ag3 b5 etc.
1b) Variante Moscú con 6.Axf6 que conduce a un desequilibrio inmediato pero las opciones de ataque de las blancas contienen más veneno de lo que se podría pensar a primera vista.

2) 5…dxc4 La variante Botvinnik con 5…dxc4 es la opción más aguda de las negras. ¡No se puede volver más loco!
3) 5…Cbd7 La variante Cambridge-Springs con 5…Cbd7 es la opción más sólida de las negras, pero aun así conduce a un mediojuego complicado estratégica y tácticamente.

If White continues from the diagram with 6.Bd3, 6...dxc4 leads to the Meran Variation, which gets its name from the game Grünfeld – Rubinstein in the 1924 Meran Tournament. Black gives up the strong point on d5 in the centre, to develop his queenside as quickly as possible with moves like...b5, ...a6, ...Bb7 and ...c5. The basic position arises after 6.Bd3 dxc4 with the move order 7.Bxc4 b5 8.Bd3 a6 (8...Bb7 is an alternative) 9.e4 c5
