Este DVD se concentra en el Gambito de Rey Aceptado con 3 Ac4. Bronstein dijo sobre este movimiento: ‘¿Quieres jugar el Gambito de Rey? Bien, las negras pueden entablar tras 3. Cf3. ¡Juega 3. Ac4 si quieres ganar!’ Por supuesto, las cosas han evolucionado mucho desde los tiempos de Bronstein y este DVD tiene como objetivo aportar todos los desarrollos más recientes y nuevas ideas que son jugables por ambos bandos en esta fascinante apertura. 1) La antigua línea principal: 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Ac4 Cf6 4 Cc3 c6 5 d4 d5 6 exd5 cxd5 7 Ab3! En este sistema recomiendo que las blancas coloquen su caballo de rey en e2. Es una idea bastante exclusiva y única.
2) La línea principal nueva (Variante Shaw): 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Ac4 Cc6! Aquí recomiendo tanto 4 d4 Cf6! 5 Cc3 Ab4! como línea sólida para las blancas y también 4 Cf3 g5!? 5 0-0 con un juego más agresivo para las blancas.
3) Variante Bogoljubow: 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Ac4 Cf6 4 Cc3 Cc6 con ...Ab4 a continuación.
4) Variante Sokolov: 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Ac4 Ce7
5) 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Ac4 d5!?
6) Las negras hacen pronto ...Dh4+ ¿Qué deberían hacer las blancas?

Gambito de rey

The King’s Gambit was the fashionable opening of the 19th century. On move two, such great combinatory players as Paul Morphy (1837–1884) and Adolf Anderssen (1818–1879) were willing to sacrifice the f-pawn, so that after the opening of the play which follows 2... exf4 they would be able to obtain an advantage in development and then mount an assault with their pieces. Unforgettable masterpieces such as Anderssen’s “Immortal Game” were created with the King’s Gambit. But also more recent players such as Boris Spassky and David Bronstein (1924–2006) have won games with White.
