The Sicilian Tajmanov-Scheveningen

Se sabe desde hace décadas que la Siciliana es la forma más fiable para las negras de obtener posiciones desequilibradas, pero buenas. Entre las sicilianas más populares al más alto nivel, las dos que destacan son la Najdorf y la Paulsen. Al contrario que la primera, la segunda facilita una forma más segura y con más fundamentos posicionales para luchar contra 1.e4. Las negras son capaces de obtener contrajuego adecuado en todas las variantes sin entrar en un ataque a todo o nada. Este DVD combina la potencia de la Siciliana Paulsen pura con transposiciones circunstanciales a la Scheveningen cuando es conveniente para el jugador negro. Anand, Topalov, Morozevich, Ivanchuk, Grischuk, Leko, Svidler, Jakovenko, Polgar y otros incontables grandes maestros defienden la Paulsen y con excelentes resultados. La teoría presentada en este DVD es lo último de lo último: la mayor parte de las partidas analizadas se jugaron al más alto nivel, en la Copa del Mundo 2013 en Tromso.

Siciliana

1.e4 c5 are the moves which define the Sicilian Defence. Black fights for the d4-square, but unlike with the double move of the black e-pawn the symmetry is immediately destroyed and Black is indicating that he is not simply aiming to achieve equality. Then things can continue in quite different directions. 2.Nf3 followed by 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 leads to the Open Sicilian. But before that, Black has the option of laying down the direction in which the opening will go, according to whether he plays 2...d6, 2...e6 or 2...Nc6. But nowadays systems in which White does without an early d4 are also very popular.
