Tactic Toolbox Scheveningen and Tactic Toolbox Najdorf

Lubomir Ftacnik complements his popular Scheveningen DVD with fresh material for training tactical themes. The world’s most popular opening, the Sicilian Defence, rises and falls with attack, fantasy and combinations. The ability to spot a tactical opportunity, calculate variations and choose the best line decides the game in sharp Sicilian positions and, even on its own, is a skill worth having. The new interactive features in ChessBase make it possible to view every position through the eyes of a grandmaster with subtle hints that help you to find the best idea. You still get praise for choosing the second best solution, of course, but you also get another chance to appreciate the full depth and beauty of 79 rich, colorful and carefully selected tactical examples from the games of top players.

Nimzo-Indian Powerbook 2018

The Nimzo-Indian Powerbook 2018 is a comprehensive special opening book that allows you to check your opening lines and search for promising additions to your repertoire.

Anyone who wants to play the Nimzo-Indian must also be prepared to enter the Queen’s Indian (or the Bogo-Indian) and the Catalan. For that reason we have included the whole E00-E59 complex in our “Complete Nimzo-Indian Powerbook 2018”. It is based, e.g., on 80 000 games from the Mega Database plus correspondence games. But the lion’s share is made up of the 565 000 games from the engine room, where the Queen’s Indian enjoys greater popularity than the Nimzo-Indian.

The Nimzo-Indian Powerbook 2018 is an opening book that you can use with your Fritz or ChessBase program. It does not come with a database - so there are no games included.
